How does the custom order process work?

The custom order process includes a conversation about your overall needs, followed by you choosing a few of your favorites from my portfolio, and finally either choosing a piece from my inventory or if I don't have the perfect piece, we will source one for you. This is followed by the submission of a few sketches including design, color, and hardware options.  After approval of the design, the piece is customized and photographs are sent for final approval before the piece is shipped. 


How long does a custom order take to complete?

Typically, from the date an order is placed, it will take 8-10 weeks to complete the project.


What type of shipping do you offer?

SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE WASHINGTON, DC METRO AREA
We offer white glove shipping and have a trusted team of shippers who have safely delivered to many states around the US. The most frequent shipments go to California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New York, and the New England area but are not limited to these locations. Rates vary depending on number of pieces, size, location, and time requirements. Shipping of one item will generally cost between $225-450.

DELIVERY WITHIN THE WASHINGTON, DC METRO AREA
Deliveries in this area generally costs $149. Delivery fees are paid directly to the delivery company. A storage fee of $20/day will be assessed if I need to hold your dresser longer than 7 days after the completion of a custom order or 7 days after the purchase of a finished piece.

PICK UP FOR LOCAL CUSTOMERS
If you would like to pick up your dresser, please let us know and we'll be happy to schedule a time that suits you. However, pick up must be done within 7 days of the purchase of a finished dresser. A storage fee of $20/day will be assessed if I need to hold your dresser longer than 7 days.


What if I own a piece that needs to be painted?

We are happy to work with you if you already own a piece. Contact me with the particulars of your project including the following:

- Dimensions
- If you have a favorite look as found in one of my portfolios, please let me know.
