No such thing as too much red
Martha Leone
When I picked this dresser up it was, well, super ugly. I knew that it needed to be red but wanted to experiment with texture to add dimension. So... with more gut instinct than experience I painted it red (Behr California Poppy), then ASCP Old Ochre, then ASCP Provence, then red again. Then, I applied ASCP clear and dark wax and sanded to reveal some of the colors underneath the red.
Hope you like it.
Lesson learned: Although I really love ASCP paint, I don't have to forsake all other paints for this incredible new product. The Behr red worked just fine and since I put ASCP paint underneath the red, I was able to sand the Behr layer after just 2 hours without too much of it getting scraped away by the sand paper.
This piece is for sale.
