Chalk paint takes very well to antique pieces when the old finish has lost its patina. Annie Sloan chalk paint was made for pieces like this. To tone down the Coco color and give it some depth, I used my typical staining process that has been used on so many other pieces. If interested in this process, check out Unobtrusive Buffet or Mammoth Red. This piece was delivered to a customer's home in the late fall and I'm just now getting around to sharing it!
