Cut up your books
Martha Leone
When I started blogging back in February, I wrote about an amazing book I bought from our local library. The book, by Georgina Masson and published in 1960, is packed with full page black and white photographs of italian gardens. It was too beautiful to sit closed on a coffee table or stashed away on our book shelves, so I resolved to carefully cut it apart and put it on the wall. I've done a few oversized pieces by mounting a selection of the b/w photos on a 30 x 40 canvas. I'm working on smaller versions for a couple of friends.
One of the canvases below is on consignment and the other is hanging in our kitchen! More to come until I empty the book!
