Mid-century chest of drawers

This chest of drawers was given to us years ago. This might be the only mid-century piece we have in our house and I love it. Love the clean lines and solid maple wood construction. Take a look at the recent paint job on it. The muted mustard color was a mix I made of old paint left in the garage. Sorry that I don't have the formula. The white color was also an old quart found in the garage.

I lightly distressed it, revealing old paint jobs of dark green and pink.

The brass dials used behind the drawer pulls are old spare parts from post office mailbox door fronts. I found those on ebay and knew they could be put to good use. To install them behind the drawer pulls, I simply placed them over the screw and then screwed the drawer pull on. No need for glue since the drawer pull holds the dial tightly against the dresser.
