Michigan Chair
Martha Leone
This past summer, my daughter and I spent a Saturday morning hopping from one yard sale to another. I told her as we were headed out the door that I wouldn't buy any chairs. No chairs.
We spotted this chair from afar and I literally gasped! She and I got a good laugh out of it. Turns out that the only thing we bought that Saturday morning was this chair. Another chair. Oh my. But the price was right at $20!
I used Benjamin Moore Advance paint in semi-gloss to paint it after sanding and priming. I was going for a glossy look. No distressing was needed as this piece already had lots of detail and interest built into its design.

I'll let the pictures tell the story as I'm not the one to provide detailed instructions on this type of project. When it comes to fabric and any type of sewing, I basically invent as I go and use common sense to guide me. I used the materials as shown in the pictures below with a strong staple gun.
or on Facebook.
