Here's another example of a super ugly piece that before two weeks ago, I would have passed over and never considered buying (before shot at bottom of post).

I kept it simple by painting the upper half a shade of Benjamin Moore Advance black and the lower half ASCP Old White. Seemed like it needed something more so I added a few stripes. Then came a bit of distressing and DONE! This piece is for sale.

Lesson learned: Just when you're about to pass over a worn out piece of furniture at the next yard sale or thrift store you visit, stop yourself. Get it if the price is good and its bones are strong! The possibilities are endless!
