Dixie Chevron and a Black Credenza
Martha Leone
Two pieces were recently painted using some of my all time favorite paint products. One was done for a local customer and the other is on its way to a customer in Austin, Texas. Neutral colors work well on both of these pieces since their size will command enough attention.
RESOURCES
PAINT: Benjamin Moore Aura and Advance
TOPCOAT: Minwax Wipe-On Polyurethane
APPLICATION: 6" foam roller
FILLER: Bondo
HARDWARE: Anthropologie
Staging and photographing these pieces has become just as enjoyable as painting them. Here's one of the raw photos before it was corrected in Adobe Photoshop:
This piece was in very bad shape when I found it. I used Bondo to rebuild large areas of missing wood. I use this product almost always now because it cures quickly, is easy to sand, and hardens to a very hard finish. It's used on car exteriors but is also great for furniture repair.
