Innovators Who Inspire Me
Martha Leone
When I redesigned my website I placed this quote on the homepage because it encapsulates most of what I'm about. What I like so much about this quote by Verner Panton is that when we reach beyond the obvious, we discover new pathways to express common ideas.
Here's a glimpse into the thinking of another favorite innovator, Pascal Anson, author of Ordinary Made Extraordinary, Here's what he has to say about creativity:
"Concept or idea comes first and aesthetics follow, this is mainly because I am driven to change how we see something or interact with it... Each design tries to challenge by asking you to stop and think again, differently."
Take a look at how he rethinks two common objects. In the first video, he solves a common problem. In the second, he uses materials in unlikely ways to build something that is both useful and beautiful.
